A two-storey house, with a capacity of 4 people combining comfort and tradition. The visitor will live in a Cretan village in peace and tranquility. In the periphery of the village there are 10
kilometers of pristine beaches with the most famous of St. Paul, a multitude of caves, canyons and attractions. Also in the wider area are many yoga centers, creating a pole of attraction for people looking for a different, alternative way of life.
The house is a stone-built hospitable maisonette. On the 1st floor there is the kitchen, living room and a toilet. A person can sleep on the couch. On the second floor there are two bedrooms with bathroom. Each bedroom has a double bed. From the balcony of the main room you can see the wonderful nature, and the view is lost to the sea and the wonderful sunset that one can enjoy. A costermonger pass through the village twice a week, every day a baker with fresh bread pass through the village and a local cheese maker every Saturday. Cafe tavern Petres is 5 minutes walking distance from the house. Saktouria village are bounded east to Melambes, west to Akoumia, north to Krya Vrissi and to the
south by the Libyan Sea. They have 10km of beaches with the most famous beach of Agios Pavlos, one of the most beautiful beaches of Crete. In the area of Agios Pavlos there are sand dunes, unique geological rock and the cave church of Saint Paul. According to the New Testament, the apostle Paul lived in this area. The history of Saktouria begins from the prehistoric period from which archaeological finds have been found. Investigations by English archaeologists have found that inthe area of Saint Paul therewas the cave of Daidalos and Icarus flight point, the Aniphoros.
Inthe later period, the area was plagued by pirate raids, resulting in a change in the settlement`s settlements that existed in Saktouria were Agios Stefanos, Saint Vlassios, Katsomatis and Arcoliana. The newer settlements are PanoSakturia, LowerSakturia and St. Paul Saktouria have a great historical past and have experienced two holocausts. Saktouriahave a unique geographic location and a very open horizon tothe sea. They see the LibyanSea andthe island of Paximiada and to the east the famous mountain of psiloritis.
